  • Doggy Daycare

    Full day rate: $60 covers (5-9hrs) Or hourly rate: $12. Includes 1 beach, creek or park outing / day

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

To ensure the best experience for everyone, overnight bookings will only be accepted once a trial session has been completed prior.

All services require a completed application form, along with current vaccination certificates to be emailed directly to us at: southsidesittin@gmail.com.

All dogs must be on current tick prevention in order to access any services.

Each additional dog from the same household is eligible for a 50% discount across all services.

Due to high demand, bookings scheduled on Public Holidays and during the Christmas period (24 December – 2 January inclusive) will incur an additional 10% surcharge per day.

Bookings within the 2478 postcode attract a $5 pick-up fee, with drop-off provided at no additional charge.

Bookings outside the 2478 postcode will incur an additional $10 fee for pick-up and $10 for drop-off. For all of our services we have daily meeting points in West Ballina and Wardell for free pick-ups and drop-offs at set times each morning and evening.

Terms of Service

Dog Sitting Agreement – Southside Sitting

By engaging the services of Southside Sitting, I agree to the following terms and conditions for the care of my dog(s):

I acknowledge that every reasonable precaution will be taken while my dog(s) are in the care of Southside Sitting. In the event that emergency veterinary treatment is required, Southside Sitting will make all reasonable efforts to contact me immediately. Should I be unreachable, I authorise Southside Sitting to obtain veterinary treatment and make necessary decisions on my behalf without prior consultation. I understand and agree that all veterinary costs incurred will be my sole responsibility.

I acknowledge that Southside Sitting shall not be held liable for any illness, injury, accident, or death that may occur while my dog(s) are in its care, and I agree to indemnify and hold Southside Sitting harmless against any claims arising from such events.

I accept full responsibility for the behaviour of my dog(s) while they are in the care of Southside Sitting.

I understand that all dogs must:

  • Be on current tick prevention

  • Be up to date with worming and flea treatments

  • Hold a current vaccination completed within the last 12 months and at least two (2) weeks prior to their stay

I agree to provide a valid and up-to-date C5 Vaccination Certificate prior to my dog(s) being accepted into care.

Additional Safety Information

For the safety and wellbeing of all dogs in care, Southside Sitting does not accept:

  • Intact males

  • Females in season (on heat)

  • Dogs that have been coughing within the previous seven (7) days

  • Dogs with open wounds or stitches

  • Dogs recovering from surgery

  • Dogs with known contagious illnesses

All dogs must be friendly and social. This means they must have no history of aggression toward other dogs or humans. Southside Sitting does not provide behavioural or socialisation training. Dogs must already be comfortable interacting with other dogs. Any known behavioural concerns must be disclosed prior to booking.

Southside Sitting may accept non-desexed female dogs; however, I acknowledge that I assume full responsibility for any breeding or reproduction that may occur.

Under no circumstances shall Southside Sitting be held responsible for any lost, damaged, or destroyed personal items belonging to my dog/s.

If my dog has not previously stayed with Southside Sitting, I understand that an initial assessment is required in the form of a daycare session. I acknowledge that unfamiliar environments can be challenging, and this assessment is necessary to ensure my dog/s is comfortable, well-socialised, and suitable for care. I understand that Southside Sitting will always act in the best interests of my dog/s and will provide honest feedback regarding suitability for ongoing services.
